Stats are from Wikipedia, but I believe the original source is the Japanese instruction manual. Obviously, these are the stats for Rydia when you first meet her - they change later on in the game. And I'm not sure they're entirely correct/realistic - 40 lbs? I know she's just a child, but that seems a little anorexic to me.

Character

Rydia is, for the most part, your standard soft-on-the-outside but tough-on-the-inside girl. She tends to be soft-spoken, at times reluctant and even timid. She's quick to emotion, and seems to cry easily, even after she has grown up. This is tied to the fact that she cares profoundly for her friends and for those around her. Her driving motivation in all things seems to be to help others. She retains a degree of childishness even after growing up - this seems to be one of the reasons that she communicates so well with summon beasts.

At the same time, though, she is a lot stronger than she might seem. Of course, the mere fact that she's a participant in the whole "saving the world" gig speaks to this. She has the sort of inner strength that allows her to take on burdens for others, and she also has a way of making other people listen to her - I don't think there's a party member that doesn't respect her, despite her naiveness.
